Sailing Ghost Lake, seasons 2013 to 2017

I went to the boat this weekend to put up the sails. That took a few hours to do. I replaced some lines and will need to get some stanchions furling line leads. The one line I did replaced was chafed as it was sliding over the shape edge from the furling base. There are other lines that I need to replace as there is more chafing going on.

Rhonda and I also got a new furling sail with sun protection on it (UV cover). This winter I went out to measure the sail. I filled out the sail form and sent the form back to the sail maker. A few days later when I was home I got confused on what side to put sun protection cover on. I looked at the old sail and notice that the starboard side of the sail was dirty like it has been in the sun for while but when I was doing the measuring the sail, the sun protection cover look like it should be on the port side due to the way the furling turns when wrapping the sail. I emailed the sail maker and corrected my problem. The picture below shows my correction.

I released another short video on YouTube on Rhonda's and mine sailing adventure between 2013 and 2017. There wasn't much sailing in this video but we did do a fair amount of sailing. Most of the video are when we were not sailing and had time to bring out the cameras.

I hope you enjoy this short video.

Cheers
